An exceptional tournament in Lalbenque

On February 16, 2025, the Salle des Fêtes in Lalbenque will host a unique and prestigious event, fusing the strategic art of chess with the incomparable flavors of Quercy black truffles. In the heart of the truffle capital of the world, players and gourmets will come together for an unforgettable day, where reflection and refinement meet.

A competition of excellence

In a friendly, stimulating atmosphere, players will compete on 64 squares, combining concentration and pleasure. This tournament, approved by the French Chess Federation, offers unique rewards:

• 1st prize: 150 grams of Quercy black truffle

• 2nd prize: 100 grams of Quercy black truffle

• 3rd prize: 75 grams of Quercy black truffle
  

Additional prizes are currently under consideration

• for the 1st of 1800: 50 grams of Quercy black truffle

• for the 1st of 1600: 50 grams of Quercy black truffle

• for the 1st of 1400: 50 grams of Quercy black truffle

Cups will also be awarded to celebrate performances.

These exceptional prizes are conditional on a minimum participation of 50 players.

After the games, participants will have the opportunity to savour local specialities, prepared especially for them. They can also meet Lalbenque's truffle growers, the true guardians of this culinary treasure, during a privileged moment when it will be possible to acquire this precious commodity.

Lalbenque's Salle des Fêtes has been carefully converted to provide ideal conditions for the tournament. Players will benefit from a space conducive to concentration, while those accompanying them will enjoy a warm and friendly atmosphere.
